The Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO) requires a high level of chiropractic orthopedic education and certification from its members. It is comprised of chiropractic doctors who have completed post-doctoral or graduate level education in non-surgical orthopedics, as well as passed a specialty board certification examination through Diplomate to be board certified chiropractic orthopedists. The Academy’s mission is “to provide, through a membership organization for board certified chiropractic orthopedists, a venue for the exchange of clinical information, promote continuing education in chiropractic orthopedics and publish in a peer reviewed and an indexed journal.” The Journal of Chiropractic Orthopedists (JACO) is published quarterly and is an open access journal. They also sponsor the Congress of Diplomates at the annual American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists Convention.
