The American Society of Hematology (ASH) represents over 15,000 members from nearly 100 countries, serving both clinical professionals and scientists who are working to eliminate blood diseases worldwide. The ASH’s mission is to further the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, & prevention of disorders affecting the blood, bone marrow, and the immunologic, hemostatic and vascular systems by advocating and promoting education, training, clinical care, and ongoing research to improve clinical care for patients and ultimately conquer blood diseases. Interestingly, the official journal of the ASH is appropriately called “Blood” which is the most cited peer-reviewed publication in the field.
