The American Urological Association (AUA), founded in 1902, provides support to professionals in the urological community, including physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses and researchers. For more than a century, the AUA has been the premier organization in promoting innovative technologies and evidence-based patient care in urology. In addition to professional development and continuing training for professionals, the American Urological Organization engages in policy making and public outreach efforts, around prostate cancer awareness and other aspects of urological health. The AUA’s annual meeting, held every May, invites participants to stay on the forefront of urological treatment and research advances.
